There was so many things that I loved about this weekend. From tech to walking off stage right after the awards. Honestly, the best feeling a dancer can ever ask for & the best feeling that I’ve ever experienced for the first time. but anyways ya, Boston was so freaking dope! It was sooo good to me this weekend. I don’t even know where to start lololll. I’m not gonna go into detail on the first night of Boston. But it was with my niggas and it was pretty chill not gonna lie. & also I’m not gonna go into after the awards lol.

Lol but yah! Saturday! After waking up and getting ready, we head to the venue, checked in, toured around and yada-yada. After watching tech, I was pretty scared lol. But anyways, my first tech run with UFP was fun and intense. So funny that we almost tore the stage down within the first 30 seconds of the set haha. & it was intense because I felt people were just gonna watch me and observe me with a team that I’m now apart of. Thank goodness, my teammates were just like f*ck it, just do you and have fun. But anyways! whateverr, tech was fun. When the show began, everyone was getting ready. Did my make up and got my hair did by my girl, Charmaine! & when we were called to go on deck, i was sooo nervous! Being on deck, was definitely the BIGGEST highlight of that day. I’ve never felt so much love before a performance ever. We did a prayer and then went near the stage while Project D was up. Their closer was We Found Love by Rihanna. & just like everyone was saying, thats our freaking anthem. When that song came on, we were sending love to Project D, supporting them from backstage, cheering them on. & especially pumping each other up and spreading so much love to our teammates. I’ve never felt so loved & content with my life. I was filled with so much joy. When we were called on stage, my adrenaline began and it was just sooo intense. After the yelling on stage, UNPLANNED “Yeeeeah, it’s a party” I knew, shit was about to go down. The ending song was definitely something different. Different as in, I saw the judges clapping with us and looking at their faces, it looked like we definitely put on a good performance for them. Everytime I think back to this moment, I just wish I was back on that stage performing it from the very top of the set. Felt so dope. ughhh loll so yea that was the performance. lol

The awards! Winning first place was definitely something that we were all aiming for and also having fun and putting on a good show. But we freaking won soo whatever! haha. Anyways, before announcing the awards, everyone was hugging each other backstage and holding hands and closing our eyes, praying. After announcing that we won, we ran on stage. It was such a good feeling. After hugging everyone, I hugged my brother. The one who brought me into this dance scene and one of the most important person in my life. After being on the same team for the past 2 years, I’ve felt I was just in his shadow. I felt I could never be recognized. After leaving PD, we were pretty rocky and I just felt like I disappointed him. But when I hugged my brother so close on that stage, he told me “I’m so proud of you” I cried. so hard. After everything that has been going on for the past month, I’ve always wanted him to say that. & only him. because that was the only thing that mattered. Just him, saying those 5 words to me. & he finally said it. He brought me to my mom and as i was hugging her, she said those exact same words. After my mom left, I looked back and there was two people. Again, one of the two most important people of my life. Joseph and of course my brother. Felt so good hugging them both at the same time. After that, I was just hugging everyone on stage again & feeling so damn content with my life. Backstage, I didnt even know what to do next with my life.. lol.

I am so blessed to be on a team with talented people who can share the same passion and love for dance as much as I do. Thank you for welcoming me with opening arms, Ugly Fat People <3
